Novo Chiropractic was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska in November of 2018. We are a neurologically based chiropractic office that specializes in the nervous system to allow your brain and body to adapt to life’s chemical, physical and emotional stresses.
The word “Novo” is Latin and means to “renew” or “make new.” It is our mission to humbly serve our community, with specific scientific neurologically based Chiropractic care, to be free of nerve interference and experience renewed health.
We envision a world where the body, which God gifted us, is free of nerve interference. We want you and your family to live out your God-given purpose and adapt against life’s stresses. You deserve to function at the highest level, free of dis-ease, and to achieve optimal health.
Novo Chiropractic is built upon using Chiropractic as a major tool to renew and enrich your life, your family’s life, and our community, naturally, with specific scientific neurologically based chiropractic adjustments, State-Of-The-Art technology, and the power of the body to achieve one’s optimal health from Above-Down-Inside-Out.
Novo Chiropractic’s core values are:
Faith, Integrity, Trust, Value, Transparent, Renew
Every single cell, tissue, and organ in your body has a direct nerve supply and is under the control of your central nervous system i.e. your brain and spinal cord. In short, every function within the body is regulated through the nervous system – growth, development, sleep, energy, digestion, healing and repair, strength, stamina, reproduction, immune system function, concentration, focus, cognition, and millions more. When the communication between this system and the rest of your body is sustained, your body’s self-healing and self-regulating properties are sustained.
So, have you and your kids ever been checked for interferences in your Brain – Body Communication?
Our Doctor’s have spent years learning and practicing the most advanced and scientifically researched chiropractic techniques available. Using these techniques, they are able to locate the very specific areas of increased tension along the spinal column which interfere with the signals going to and from the brain and the body. Chiropractors call these areas of increased tension…subluxations. When the Doctors correct the subluxations you and your children have, it allows your brain and body to be at one, which leads to optimal function and renewed health.
What is Health?
Health is really all about function. How well you are functioning determines how truly healthy you are. It’s more than just ‘feeling good’; it’s about functioning at your ultimate potential. When your body is functioning at 100%, you have the innate ability to adapt to anything that occurs in your environment and you can continually maintain optimal health.
Decreased health results from a decreased ability to adapt to stressors (i.e. chemical, mental, and physical stressors). A decreased ability to adapt simply means you aren’t functioning at your highest level. Events like car accidents and physical traumas are often out of your control, but how you are functioning and adapting to your environment on a daily basis is completely within your power. Therefore, the choice to be healthy or unhealthy is ultimately under your control.
Genetics and bad luck are not to blame but are often used as an excuse in the health care community. Have you ever wondered, why when there is a “flu outbreak” not everyone gets sick? It’s because only those who have lost the ability to adapt are susceptible to illness. Those of us that are functioning at a higher level deal with the virus without even knowing about it.
This is where chiropractic is different. We focus on health and what causes a person to live rather than studying sickness and disease and focusing on what causes a person to have symptoms. Merely treating symptoms and refusing to look at the body as a whole, self-healing system is a harmful mistake that is all too common. In our office, we take a broad approach to your health and look at how you are functioning rather than trying to treat your symptoms.
